Be Nice!
« on: October 08, 2007, 10:42:20 PM »

The business objectives of this forum is to enhance CEEM IT resources, knowledge sharing and community building.  Thus, the forum is a tool that provides a virtual space for our department members to connect, share and collaborate on various topics.  This forum focuses on, (but is not limited to) Information Technology at Civil Engineering and Engineering Mechanics.

With a forum we can gather, cultivate and distribute large amounts of diverse and valuable information, opinions and experiences from others in our community.  Because, when you have so many insanely intelligent people in one place, you should do everything possible to capture and harness their brain power.

Our goal is to enhance the already rich and existing CEEM community.  It is our hope that this forum will benefit Columbia University as a whole, include; Columbia, CUIT, SEAS, the Civil Engineering & Engineering department, its community and its individual members in all aspects of their lives.  Through our discussions, debates, and search for solutions, we will build a foundation from which to springboard our community forward on various topics, issues and/or concerns.

The Rules
1) Be nice and considerate to others. Help others out when you can.
Also, please note: "flamers" will be burned at the stake... (See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flamer for a definition.)

2) No Illegal, pirated materials or software.  This may be harder than you think.  Any blatant use of illegal material will not be tolerated. There will however be areas for posting links to freeware, open source and others types of software.  Keep it clean people. Please respect intellectual property and copyright laws. If you have any doubt, then don't post it.

3) Don't make me make more rules...

Welcome to the CEEMIT forum.

I purposely place mistakes in my posts just for the people that look for them...
