The new version replaces the current MS Office 2007 for Windows.
Faculty & Staff
MS Office is free for school & home use, so don't go buying it…
The University provides the highest version available, which is Professional Plus.
Terms of Use:
1) You can download it from the CUIT website (once CUIT posts it)
2) You can install it on “any system you do Columbia work on at school or home”. This includes systems faculty purchase for their students.
3) It cannot be installed on student’s personal systems.
CUIT should be posting the new version by the beginning of July.

Unfortunately, SEAS students personal systems are not covered under the current Microsoft Campus Agreement.
I recommend purchasing the Professional Academic version from an authorized academic reseller such as JourneyEd.com to get the lowest possible price.

Jon
